Crude oil prices rose on Thursday amid heightened concerns over global
supply after U.S. President Donald Trump ordered a blockade on sanctioned
Venezuelan oil tankers. Despite the uptick, prices are set for weekly losses as
an anticipated supply surplus and potential peace developments in Ukraine
weigh on the market. Hence, Brent crude edged 0.2% higher to settle at $59.82
per barrel.
